Yuvaan

Only at the age of five, I got a baby brother.’Om’, he was named by my paternal grandmother, my dadi, whose name is Durga. But I rejected it and asked mom to give him a better name. Finally, she caught the name “Yuvaan” name of Lord Shankar.I used to call him “Koki” or “Cukoo” and dadi still called him Om.But no matter who called him what, his proper name could not be replaced.

Just by the age of one, he started walking and soon to run.He would often close his eyes, a giant grin on his face, starting to run.He would even take a sketch, scribble on the wall and then go somewhere else to draw. While that, I ran to every corner of the house, wiped the ink and came back.

He is a funny fellow.
He even learned several new words bhon-bhon, choo-choo, baa-baa, twinke, mumma, papa, mum, manne, owie, boo, and so on.Very naughty, loves to play with the idols in our wooden temple. So, we had to tie the handles with the ribbon of my old frock so he couldn’t get them.I liked to touch his chest. It was very soft, anyway. He is the only boy I trusted other than Divyansh, Ayu, Kartik, and Shubh.Out of the four, Kartik and Shubh are my family, while Divyansh and Ayu are my friends.

He used to call me “Jiji”.Even on his birthday all my friends came.Anaya, my best friend, was quite interested in him.She has a baby brother too.Uckoo, whom she lovingly called “Sheena”.He is cute as well. But I love my Yuvaan the best.

One day he sang in bed.My father had to do,as was told.Yuvaan would say “Manne” or “Baa-Baa” and father would to sing just one line before changing on to the next song.
Fussy, wasn’t he?

Waking up, won’t be so late for him.
He wakes up at Twelve o’ clock at night! I sleep at my grandmother’s room, but why? I have my own room. But the ants (plus Antie) use to get food from there. At several times I wake up at night to drink water, or to go to the toilet. And if anyone said “hanna” in front of him , he’d pick his towel and run towards the bathroom.

Potty he does most of his time. This reminds me of a story my mother had once told me.I let him play with all my toys, except for my tiny plastic dolls.I fear he would eat them and hid them safely. My biggest plastic doll, Daisy, he loves to play with. She wore a blue and yellow dress with black hair, a pink bow and a pair of pink shoes.I love to play with her. That boy would throw her and hug her and do all sorts of things with her.

His birthday comes on 29’th November. My little brother, my only lifetime friend, the only one who could see inside my chest and see my heart and he would always reflect in my blood.

Cutest of all, only I love him deeply. The only one who knows me well.
